We always need volunteers! Some opportunities are ongoing, some are sporadic, and others are a one-time need – no matter your interest, we’ve got something for everyone. On-going volunteer needs:

Mentorship

For those that are in remission or on the ‘back side’ of their journey, we are currently building a group of survivors to volunteer their experience and give emotional support to newly diagnosed patients. This would be an as needed basis, and can vary in level of involvement based on your availably.

Prepared meals

Nutritious meals can be brought to survivors year-round to help give them the nourishment and comfort they need. This opportunity is on an as-needed basis, but could easily provide a weekly volunteer opportunity.

Transportation

Volunteer drivers are often needed to help get survivors to their appointments. This opportunity is on an as-needed basis. Other sporadic opportunities may become available for those with mechanic skills who may be willing to provide free labor for survivors’ vehicle repairs.

Care Packages and Notes

Volunteers of any age can help to make notes of encouragement for survivors, as well as care packages or gifts. These could happen at any time and be coordinated with one of our staff.

Specialized Volunteers

With a small foundation staff, volunteer support is crucial to our successful operation. We could use highly skilled volunteers with expertise in graphic design, database development, grant writing, non-profit accounting, and legal matters to help with organizational administration.

Special Projects/Events

We have several fundraising events throughout the year with varying needs depending on the event. Such volunteer activities may include: securing items for auction, contacting potential event sponsors, event marketing and flyer distribution, event set-up and tear down, parking assistance, photography, Audio/Visual and logistical support, etc.
